Greetings! I'm the Edgar Award-winning author of the Hoagy & Lulu mysteries. I was once called "the wittiest mystery writer in America" by the Pittsburgh Press. But everyone knows that people who live in Pittsburgh have no sense of humor. Lately, I've been writing the Berger-Mitry mysteries, which take place in the fictional historic New England village of Dorset, Connecticut -- a village that bears a striking resemblance to the real life village of Old Lyme, Connecticut, where I happen to live. My newest, The Blood Red Indian Summer, is the eighth in the series. I blog about all sorts of things. My writing. Other people's writing. The strange people I encounter in Dorset...I mean Old Lyme. Movies, TV, my girlfriend Diana, our cat, Freddie, our antique carriage house, yoga and, let's see, did I mention Freddie? Being a cat, he'll be offended if I don't mention him twice.
